There was a notable decline in China’s auto market in 2018 and the statistics for Q1 2019 don’t look so good either. Can you give us your outlook on China’s auto sales in 2019? On what basis do you make that estimate?

Research shows that people are becoming more rational about auto purchases. When it comes to SUVs, today’s consumers value energy efficiency and maintenance services more than them being a symbol of social status. This has resulted in a notable decline in the sales of SUVs. What do you think of such a trend?

Why are the Volkswagen Tiguan, Nissan X-Trail, Baojun 510 and Geely Boyue still able to realise decent sales?

Many carmakers rolled out new SUV models at the recent auto show in Shanghai. Which models do you think have lower price-performance ratio? Why?

You’ve mentioned that the price cut of some high-end JV’s SUV will put domestic SUV under pressure. The overall price of major domestic SUV is RMB 80,000-130,000; which JV models will cause bigger pressure for cars at this price level? Recently, it is said that the National Development and Reform Commission has introduced two policies to stimulate consumption. The first is to lift the restrictions on purchase and provide 50-100% more license plates quota in 2019-20. The second is to halve the purchase tax in the rural areas. Could you please analyse these policies in terms of their influences on the sales of domestic brands?

How’s the profitability of domestic brands dealers? Will automakers give more rebates to dealers?
