Job Description

Accounting duties

  • Carry forward the month end files
  • Ensure completeness of accruals and prepayments for Asia entities
  • Maintain fixed asset registers
  • Update and maintain the FX rate file on the 1WD of the month end
  • Assist to process necessary journals and clean up the old balances if needed for Asia entities
  • Assist to maintain and prepare monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations for Asia entities
  • Assist Management Accountant to prepare month end revenue journals in accordance with our revenue recognition policy and completion of the revenue reconciliation
  • Assist Management Accountant on tax filings and tax reconciliations for Asia entities
  • Assist Finance Manager on resolving any general enquiries from tax officer

General Duties

  • Ensure accurate postings to the general ledger
  • Assist on closing Asia month end and work to tight deadlines alongside other members of the Finance team
  • Spot irregular transactions and appropriately flag them to manager
  • Assist the Finance Manager and Financial Controller with ad hoc projects specifically related to process improvements
  • Ad hoc supporting work on Management Accounts as assigned by Management Accountant and manager

Qualifications

  • Bachelor and above, Finance or accounting major required
  • Be a good communicator both in English and Chinese; very good command in spoken and written English is preferred
  • Good Excel competence
  • Comfortable in picking up a variety of systems quite quickly and working with bank systems, able to handle multi-tasks
  • Be target driven and can-do attitude
  • A hard worker who is motivated to take ownership of a role, work independently
  • Attentive to details and professional behavior
  • Proactive member of the team, fit into team well, demonstrates strong governance understanding
