Job Description

This is an exciting position at the heart of a fast-growing global company full of talented, dynamic individuals.  As our Internal Communications Manager, you will be responsible for all of Third Bridge’s employee communication channels. With direction from the Head of Communications, you will execute and develop an internal communications strategy aimed at inspiring our people and making Third Bridge a special place to work.

A super talented individual, who is bursting with energy and ideas.  The ideal candidate will embody three skill sets.  Firstly, they will have the judgement and confidence to work with and advise our senior leaders.  Secondly, they will have a genuine passion for content creation and writing.  Thirdly, they will have the razor-sharp project management skills to ensure our internal comms strategy never misses a beat. 


  • Own and execute our global internal communications plan, evaluating its effectiveness, and make recommendations on its development  

  • Work closely with our Chief Executive Officer and Chief People Officer to agree high-priority work such as the communication plan for significant internal change programs or the content required for senior leadership offsites

  • Partner with HR, our ESG council, our innovation team, and an issues management working party

  • Identify, frame and help tell the stories that keep our commercial vision front of mind

  • Support the rollout of major internal initiatives with clear and effective action plans -  an immediate example is the launch of our latest culture evolution

  • Town halls - Plan and manage fortnightly global meetings for 1,000+ colleagues of all levels.  Be responsible for the content and logistics - live streaming, deciding topics, briefing speakers, agreeing scripts, managing the Q&A, and keeping each session on course

  • The hub (a senior manager resource) - Manage our senior leadership communications group channel ensuring members understand their responsibilities and that relevant information is shared with them on a timely basis

  • Slack - Work with senior stakeholders to create a regular stream of inspiring written and video announcements.  Also manage our #AskManagement channel ensuring timely responses

  • The Third Bridge Times - Work with a part-time editor to oversee the content and distribution schedule

  • Advise regional leaders on their approaches to their internal communication

What we are looking for

  • Significant prior experience of a purposeful internal communications position within a large or medium-sized business
  • The proven ability to partner with all levels of the business and be an active listener

  • A reliable planner who is able to keep a busy internal comms plan running like clockwork

  • An excellent writer with an adaptable and thoughtful communication style bringing the correct tone of voice to each piece of communication

  • Skill in multiple internal communication channels i.e. Slack, town halls, video, and executive messaging
