Position Overview


This newly created role will report to and serve as the “right hand” for the Global Head of FP&A. The Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis will build a high performing well motivated FP&A team that is at the heart of the business helping drive performance and business understanding.


The VP will act as a best-in-class partner for the company’s largest business unit (“Connections”), have direct responsibility and accountability for complex analyses, and interface with all levels of the organization. The role will balance functional knowledge and expertise with understanding of the bigger picture and the goals for Third Bridge as a whole.


Position Responsibilities

Core Role

Leadership – Manage, engage, and motivate a global team with direct reports in both the US and Europe. Be a steward of the strong culture that is inherent within the way we work each day at Third Bridge.

• Performance analysis – End to end ownership of all aspects of Connections monthly reporting, forecasting (in-year and long-term), and budgeting cycles. The primary focus areas are top-line results, gross margin, business unit cost structure, and overall profitability.

Be a best-in-class business partner – In this capacity the candidate will offer insights, help facilitate decision-making, and work closely with our partners within and outside of the Finance organization. The latter includes being a primary point of contact for the Head of Connections, direct interactions with leaders in our offices across the globe, presentations to the broader Executive Leadership Team, and exposure to key members of our Commercial teams.

• Ad-Hoc Projects – Due to the company’s rapid growth the needs of the business change frequently. The candidate will support this evolution through completing high-impact assignments outside of standard work.

• Taking an active role in managing our largest product - Continue to build capabilities from a Finance perspective and assist the organization in its efforts to drive profitable growth.

• Leading complex analyses – To enhance our understanding of core facets of the business, ability to project future results, and quality of materials that are presented to the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors.

• Implementing process improvements - Aimed at increasing team efficiency, refining workload balancing, ensuring consistency in approach, developing repeatable procedures, and eliminating single points of failure.

Requirements

Skills:

• Team management experience strongly preferred

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Interpersonal skills are such that relationships are built out of trust and influence;    

   particularly partners outside of one’s direct reporting structure

• Data-driven; solves issues using objective reasoning 

• Keen to roll up sleeves and get stuck in – comfortable doing their own analysis as       

   well as helping and supporting others to problem solve 

• Strong working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint

• Exposure to working with large datasets

• Strong financial modeling background

• The ability to work autonomously and “in the gray”

• Being agile and nimble in a dynamic environment

• Strong knowledge of basic accounting and financial analysis concepts 

• Attention to detail, ability to multitask, and strong analytical and problem-solving     

   skills 

• Ability to work in teams effectively


Experience:


• Bachelor’s Degree

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a fast-paced environment.

• Explicit experience working on and/or managing an FP&A team
