Vice President, Connections - US Equities

Job Description

As a Vice President, you will be responsible for the Connections product and service delivery for our US Equities client base. Reporting directly to the Regional General Manager, US for Connections, you will be responsible for directing and implementing our Equities strategy that will ensure we achieve our revenue and profit goals.

Position Responsibilities

Specific duties include but are not limited to the following:

Client Service Delivery Management 

  • Ensure our teams are delivering client service for our US Equities client base in line with client service expectations

  • Develop deeper relationships with existing clients and seek opportunities to increase usage across these clients 

  • Lead key initiatives and provide considerable insight into specific markets and client segments, helping to drive client strategy

  • Responsible for setting our Equities strategy to ensure we achieve our revenue, cost and margin requirements 

  • Problem solve issues that may arise in terms of external client demand and/or internal research execution 


People Management

  • Motivate, lead and inspire the Equities vertical to achieve business objectives 

  • Support the development of ~25 or more direct and indirect reports across multiple teams within the department

  • Identify areas of improvements and provide regular coaching and feedback for direct reports 

  • Utilise effective performance management to address performance issues in adherence with local employment laws and best practice

  • Develop and execute talent and succession plans for the vertical

  • Work closely with peers and direct reports to create plans for attracting, developing, and retaining employees

  • Identify and resolve skill gaps within all levels

Business Management

  • Promote and drive improvements in standards, productivity and efficiency

  • Execute on strategic initiatives

  • Manage department budget 

  • Lead change management and proactively identify bottlenecks and propose solutions

  • Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders, such as Account Management, Sales and Talent Acquisition to achieve common business objectives

  • Participate in the recruitment process to help maintain optimal resource levels across the office

  • Contribute to hiring plans and meet budget headcount and productivity

Qualifications

A successful candidate will have:
 

  • Minimum of two years of management experience and a minimum of five years of client service experience 

  • Experience working within the expert network industry with US Public Equities clients

  • A strong understanding of the US Public Equities investment space and client base

  • A strong personal interest in the public markets and public market investors

  • Demonstrated a track record of growing a client base and winning new business

  • Strong leadership abilities and communication skills

  • Demonstrated the ability to successfully collaborate with others to accomplish goals and meet deliverables

  • Successfully rolled out change management initiatives, including internal communication strategies 

  • A strong track record working in a high-pressure, fast-moving service delivery environment where real-time performance has a material impact on the client experience and revenue

  • Hold an undergraduate degree
