We have recently merged our separate technology and product teams to form a Technology & Product Group (T&P), led by our first Chief Information Officer. We have invested heavily in our infrastructure and technology capability, enabling us to deliver innovative solutions and deep insight market intelligence to our clients. Through harnessing the latest tools and technology, we allow the business to work faster, more intelligently and we are uncovering more and more business opportunities as a result. We are also continuing to build a world-class product team which will help take Third Bridge to the next level, and beyond.
We aim to hire talented, creative and versatile people that help us grow and make our products better.
Principal Solution Architects are senior technical team members in the company, and the role is critical to the successful delivery of technology solutions to support the various Third Bridge customer-facing business units. They will work collaboratively with product owners, business analysts, engineers and other team members and will be ultimately accountable for defining and designing high-quality technology solutions - built and bought - to support the commercial objectives of those businesses. Working directly to the Chief Architect and in conjunction with other technical stakeholders, they will make decisions on technology strategy, architecture and delivery approach at system and component level, ensuring that the wider T&P team takes into account the full lifecycle from selection to support. They are happy to innovate and try things out, and champion new technologies, tools and approaches within the team. They have significant experience in successfully designing, building and operating systems in complex business domains and are by nature problem solvers and think deeply about getting things done in the right way for a given context.
Principal Solution Architects sometimes work individually, but also lead multidisciplinary teams to design, develop, test, deploy and support solutions that support various aspects of the Third Bridge business. As seasoned experts in system design and delivery, they will provide hands-on leadership by example, delivering design documentation and other artefacts sometimes including prototypes and other code and tests, alongside the members of their teams. They will provide day to day mentoring and support to the engineers, business analysts, product owners and more junior solution architects that they work with, challenging and guiding their work as necessary. They should act as a role model for other architects and engineers that aspire to the Solution Architect role, both in terms of knowledge and behaviours. They are pragmatic, understand risk and are able to make balanced choices grounded in an understanding of the Third Bridge business..
They will encourage networking across the whole of Third Bridge and in the wider technical community. When necessary they will work with trusted third parties to design and deliver technical solutions. They communicate effectively, can build relationships well, and are able to deliver difficult messages sensitively when necessary.
