Technology, Data & Product Function Overview
The Technology, Data & Product function is led by our Chief Information Officer. We are investing heavily in product, data and technology capabilities, enabling us to deliver innovative products and solutions, and deep insight market intelligence to our clients.
Through harnessing the latest business technology services, we allow the business to work faster, more intelligently and we are uncovering more and more business opportunities as a result.
The Role: Product Marketing Manager
This position reports directly to the Head of Product & Distribution and will play a critical role in our plans to continue growing our product offering to cement our position as the leader in this category.
We have an exciting product roadmap that we are executing on and need a Product Marketing Manager to ensure the value we’re delivering retains a strong market fit and is well understood by our clients and prospects.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Understanding The Market
Understand the market we’re addressing, how our product supports our client’s needs and how its evolution will satisfy a need within the market
Play a part in Product and UX research to grasp not just the product market fit, but the deeper value proposition that we’re continuing to build out
Conduct competitive analysis, surveys and other forms of research to see broader market trends that will influence our product’s roadmap
Capture feedback we gather from clients directly and via our commercial teams that will also influence our roadmap
Marketing and Communicating our Product and its Value Proposition
Carry out all product marketing activities relating to current product offering as well as future releases
Ensure the product value resonates in all marketing materials and ensure all materials remain up-to-date, relevant and effective to support our clients and commercial teams
Conduct regular communication activities with commercial teams and clients to ensure they fully understand the capabilities of the product and their value, including curating content for all campaigns, client facing materials, demo videos and training
Partner closely with cross-functional teams to conduct regular and ad-hoc marketing campaigns highlighting content and features that might be relevant to market movements, the news cycle or other events
Plan and lead cross-functional efforts to drive successful product launches, adoption and beta programs
Work with our distribution partners to source opportunities for brand and content marketing campaigns
Work with internal stakeholders on client research initiatives
Regularly review the effectiveness of our product marketing capability – looking for opportunities and channels in which we market both internally and externally
Regularly review the marketing materials and communications, garnering feedback to ensure we continue to enable our commercial teams and customers as best as possible
Look for marketing automation opportunities and experiment and implement solutions that elevate our product marketing capability
Partner with our central Marketing team to ensure alignment on brand and broader marketing activities and ensuring you’re engaged in a community of practice that encourages each other’s growth
Prior experience in Product Marketing or similar roles including technology, product management, product strategy, content or marketing
Experience with email marketing automation platforms (Pardot, Customer.io prefered)
Excellent listening skills - able to actively listen to client and partners needs so as to clearly identify opportunities, issues and problems
Excellent communication skills - able to articulate value propositions, problem statements and business opportunities to a wide variety of stakeholders in line with our corporate tone of voice
Analytical, data-driven and able to understand complex issues and recommend appropriate approaches
Demonstrable history of building strategic relationships
