Job Description

Global Commercial Strategy & Excellence is a growing organization at Third Bridge dedicated to enhancing our sales effectiveness through best practice implementation, operational excellence and team enablement. As part of this function, you will help to not only build the organization and its capabilities from the ground up but also enable a world-class sales and account management organization that fuels the rapid growth and global scale of Third Bridge. This will be done by the team through a host of large-scale initiatives as well as ongoing management of sales policies, processes, technology development, data analytics, commercial team enablement and cross-functional partnership.

The primary focus of this position is to support the organization by identifying, improving and analyzing both quantitative data from our internal databases and qualitative data from clients and internal teams. Specifically, this position requires experience translating data into insights that can be used to better understand the health of the business and to make business decisions. This role will require interaction with senior members of our management team.

The ideal candidate is a pragmatic self-starter with experience manipulating large data sets, a high degree of business acumen and an enthusiasm for building new capabilities through the use of technology. The candidate holds a logical mindset and is adaptable, being comfortable with rapid change and ambiguity. Attention to detail and a drive towards accuracy and excellence in their work is also essential.

This individual will support our business globally but will be based in either London or New York.

Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Extract, cleanse and analyse large scale data sets using google big query, or manual exports that you will join together in spreadsheets

  • Quality check data to ensure that accurate reports are issued with any data integrity issues resolved before presentation and challenge data sources or capture processes as required

  • Develop the logic for, track and manage key performance metrics for reporting on forecasts, business performance, sales trendlines, potential risk segments and more

  • Create predictive models building off of meaningful historical trends to help inform business decisions such as resource allocations or areas for additional focus

  • Manage one-off analyses or data cleansing exercises associated with project work done by the commercial leadership or other functional teams

  • Develop and communicate professional summaries to easily and simply convey insights born out of analytical work

  • Gather critical information from key stakeholders to inform analyses or requirements for tool development

  • Develop reports or dashboards in PowerBI, Salesforce.com, Gsheets or Data Studio to support the work of the commercial teams

  • Document analytical processes and metrics definitions to support scalable data management practices

  • Be responsible for the regular upkeep of data output parity between dashboards in various systems

  • Enable the commercial team in the use of various reports and dashboards via regular training and also support the team in the interpretation of outputs

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you should have:

  • A client service-focused mindset and a can-do attitude. It’s not ‘can we do it?’ But, ‘how will we do it?’

  • Ability to diagnose and define problems, collect and analyze large data sets, and develop valid insightful conclusions

  • A high degree of business acumen paired with a logical mindset allowing for the ability to untangle complex data into simple, big picture takeaways

  • Proven ability in data visualization, delivering simple and actionable dashboard layouts

  • Proven experience in collecting disparate sets of data and developing a cohesive analysis that is accurate the first time, and leads to improved business results or decision making

  • Proven ability in writing SQL, advanced spreadsheet functions and macros

  • Excellent organization, communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills

  • Ability to influence stakeholders and work collaboratively (by phone and face-to-face) to develop solutions

  • A high degree of personal responsibility and autonomy with strong time management skills and the ability to support multiple projects while meeting challenging time constraints

  • A passion for excellence and top quality in your work

  • Intellectual curiosity and a strong desire to continuously learn and develop

  • Strong desire to work for a dynamic, fast-moving, high-growth company.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, finance or a computational field

  • 2+ years experience working as a data analyst or in a related role

  • Strong familiarity with Spreadsheet programs and formulas, SQL, as well as Business Intelligence tools such as PowerBI

  • Google big query and connected sheets experience is beneficial

  • An understanding of the commercial function and of key financial stats is beneficial

  • The successful candidate must, by the start of the employment, have permission to work in the US or the UK
